The Living Beatitudes Community began in 2003, when Dignity/Dayton joined forces with members of the Federation of Christian Ministries (FCM), Roman Catholic WomenPriests and former members of St. Agnes parish to create an Intentional Eucharistic community. This union has brought together a vibrant group of people who seek to live the gospel through radical inclusivity and social justice.
Our mission is to seek the unity of all people and to respect diverse sources of wisdom and spiritual inspiration. We believe there is more value in questioning than in absolute doctrines. We believe that Jesus gave us the example of a life lived for peace, inclusion and justice. While our ministry tends to draw “Catholics on the margins,” approximately 20% of our members come from other faith traditions.
